Whilst in Sydney last weekend I visited The Gallery of NSW to see the current show: Paths to Abstraction 1867 - 1917. The show was a survey of artists from Europe and North America who worked with elements of abstraction, the exhibition focused primarily on how the style evolved over the start of the 20th century, I found this very interesting because pure abstraction doesn't really rock my boat. Apparently the show took five years to curate.
