Wayuu Mochillas

blog

The wayuu is an ethnic group of the La Guajira Peninsula in northern Colombia and northwest Venezuela on the Caribbean Sea coast. The women weave these colourful mochillas (woven bags) with symbolic imagery which is passed down through their families. Electric colours!
