Embroidery at Les Soeurs Anglaises
Susie's British butterfly
Susie's magical works
Agnes's lovely embroidery
These attempts are by yours truly!
I just returned to London after spending 6 wonderful days in the South of France at Les Soeurs Anglaises. It was so lovely to meet Susie Cowie who ran the embroidery workshop and to see her beautiful work in person. It was an absolute pleasure spending embroidery days with the 10 lovely ladies from across the globe who each had very different styles and stories. Together we experimented with different embroidery techniques, visited a local Sunday Brocante in Verteillac, a charming 16C Abbey which was holding an embroidery exhibition, and ate the most incredible food cooked by Katie, Carol and Susu in the main house 3 times a day! Many lovely inspiring memories...
