Visited the Miró exhibition at the Tate Modern last night. He really created his own unique visual language as an artist. This quote from Miró was written on the gallery wall in the final room of the show.
'I understand that an artist is someone who, in the midst of others' silence, uses his own voice to say something and who makes sure that what he says is not useless, but something that is useful to mankind.'
