American Folk Art Museum

I also visited the American Folk Art Museum whilst in New York. It's directly next to MOMA, its a much quieter and small but it was well worth the visit for its beutiful collection of embroideries, quilts sculptures and paper-cuts. These images are from the current show which focuses on women and their role in art in America.

I loved the paper-cut works and also seeing appliqued and embroidered textiles from the 19th century.
