I found an old book of mine of Australian Textile designer Linda Jackson. I fell in love with her work when I was a student and i still love her Australian-esque print designs.
Jackson and Jenny Kee started a fashion label in Bondi in Sydney in the 70's called Flamingo Park, they created avant-garde 80's fashion designs they referred to as 'bush couture.' She did some pretty crazy stuff, like travel to Papua New Guinea, and central australia to work with local women to learn their traditional methods of textile dyeing and printing, this evidently had a large influence on her textile work.

Beautiful works! I like the way she overtook the indigenous influences :)
